Lessons in a Dying Democracy
Some people like power, some like money. We all have some power of choice, and it's what we do with it that is of importance. The people of a society have power to hold government officials and economic leaders accountable. When problems mount, throwing up ones hands in hopelessness is the cowardly response. Our generation has serious soul searching to do. We must decide together what we value and work toward it. Questioning the systems in place is essential to understanding what is working and what isn't. The captivity that is fear can hold us in ignorance and stagnancy at our own bequest. To challenge ourselves to act in faith despite our fear is to live in freedom.
